A turn-over ceremony by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) office was done in the 27th of September 2013 at Governor Generoso Municipal Hall lobby. Land management records and office equipments were handed to the office of the Municipal Assessor through the Local Chief Executive in the person of Hon. Vicente D. Orencia.
Visitors from the DENR and few LGU employees witnessed the event. The equipment composed of 1 computer unit with accessories, 2 steel cabinets, 2 tables and 2 chairs. These equipments will serve as data bank of the land management records that will be used to accommodate clients coming from the 20 barangays of the municipality.
According to CENRO Willie L. Jordan, representative of the Regional Technical Director Atty. Felix Alicer, “These equipments will be of great help to materialize the operation of the project where the 3 deputized inspectors will be provided with maps, records and other documents needed in the processing of titles.”
While the 3 deputized inspectors are on their learning phase, CENRO Lupon personnel will assist in accomplishing the forms and other technical works until they will become familiar with their jobs. They will now become part of the organizational structure of the DENR.
To determine the performance of the year, CENRO Jordan challenged the deputized inspectors to produce at least 5 titles per inspector up to the end of November.
Mayor Vicente D. Orencia, in his acceptance message, thanked the presence of all the DENR personnel. He is hopeful that through this project, our real property tax collection will increase. He also relied and trusted on the 3 deputized inspectors to accomplish their targets.
Chamberlain J. Babiera, OIC, PENRO informed the public that because of the enthusiasm of Mayor Orencia, Governor Generoso is the first in the whole of Davao Oriental to become the Pilot Project Area of Public Land Titling, and the first to receive these equipments.
Governor Generoso will now have a processing office ready to accept clients who want to process their documents for titling. It will now become easier for the public to access the services that formerly offered only in CENRO Lupon.
